Insane Spidey

Insane Spidey
You ever have one of those days?
When  just a few shirtless minutes on the garden swing would be so relaxing?

The dress-up box was one of my boys' favorite things. Packed full and delivered as a gift by Grandma, it had imagination oozing from every crack. I picked up clearance Halloween costumes and restocked every now and then, just often enough to keep it interesting.
I'd hear the screen door BANG and look out to see Superman, Spiderman or Wolverine whooshing past the window swinging a stick-gun.
Army Guy, Bible Man or a Sea Captain might belly slide down the stairs from naptime.
Crazy Clown, Cape Guy or the ever popular "Bad Man" might show up after dinner to challenge Dad to the wrestling match of his life.

Sometimes Insane Spidey would meander out to sit on the swing with
me for just a little while.

My kids love the dress up box too.
We still have a closet full of costumes that I can't seem to part with. :)

Ah, I just love it. Mine also love that dress up box. Btw my sons's glasses are very real glasses ( hismone eye is -6) and the frames are made by Fisher Price

Love it. That is so my sons. I don't think people (especially the toy companies) realize how much little boys really love playing dress up. Thanks to my sister, each of my kids (boys and girls) has his own super hero cape, complete with initial on the back. They play everything from knights to firemen to superheros to cowboys to any random amalgamation thereof.

My children loved their dress-up boxes too! Now we're putting them to good use with the grandbabies!

Ah...sweet memories!

Our old costume bin came out for the new generation just a few weeks ago. Fun times!

My twins used to live in their "spidey" dress up stuff. It's kind of sad that they grew out of it....
