In the late spring, the annabelles have their lovely snow-white blooms. In early summer, they start to go green - a lovely, pale, apple green. The first big storm bows them a little, and they aren't so upright as this photo shows for very long. The rain gets trapped in their heads and they bend down.
Been there? Done that?

Those are lovely! I have a pink one that I was trying to turn blue. I faithfully sprinkled my coffee grounds on it for months and now it's more of a lavender color. I think I'll have to go to the MiracleGro Acid. Your white ones are perfect~!

ReplyDeleteI was only thinking about your sweet annabelles today, remembering the photo of them outside your front door. I wondered if they were a kind of hydrangea - I've never seen white ones before. Here they are lilac or blue, depending on the soil. I'd love to find one for our garden. You certainly have lovely bushes. PS I put a note on my blog yesterday explaining how I did the sunflower in the sky.
