Seriously, people. The perfect pair - grilled cheese and dill pickle slices. I thought these were passable for a winter's day lunch, but none can compare, and mine never shall, to My Dear Friend Pam's. I'm going to ask for some of Pam's grilled cheese at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb. Sit by me, and I'll share with you - just a little bite, though.
I was just thinking about my moms grilled cheese the other day. I was making Grilled cheese for lunch after church Sunday because we had nothing in the house but stale bread and 3 pieces of cheese. I appreciated at that point what my mom could do with some leftover "int bread" as we called it and cheese. I learned from my mom that you can always cut the mold off of cheese and it is still good :o)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh. Can I come over now? My heart's desire is anything with a good pickle. Although I've been enjoying my grilled cheese with tomato slices as well. And is it possible that I've never had Pam's grilled cheese? In fact, it's 10:15 and I'm wondering how soon I can make grilled cheeses for lunch.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so delicious. Evil but yummy. I haven't had anything like this all January. It's about time methinks.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories of my dad is of him making me grilled cheese after I got home from kindergarten. I'm not sure why I remember that now that I think of it... he worked during the day. Must have been a really special day that I convinced myself happened often. :-)
